Fmr. ‘Good Morning America Weekend’ Co-Anchor: Savannah Guthrie Is ‘as Genuine as They Come’

‘I respect her so much and we are praying that Nancy comes home soon’

EXCERPT:

FARIS: “They really are. Thanks for having me on, Martha. And, you know, I reached out to Savannah last week and I just said, sister, we are praying for breakthrough and that’s what we got today with these images, Martha. I didn’t get a chance to really get to know Savannah until I left TV news in 2020. I was at ABC and Good Morning America for 10 years and it wasn’t until I left that we really got to know one another. She is as genuine as they come. I adore her. I have deep respect and admiration for her. She’s a woman of very deep faith. She’s come on my podcast to talk about her faith and being a working mom and, you know, just living that TV life. But what really has struck me a couple of years ago when she wrote her very first trade book, I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to read it, Mostly What God Does. I love this book and it says so much about who she is and her character.”
