GAY: "I mean, look, pulling back on the chaos surrounding the tariffs would be one lever that the president could use to kind of stabilize the economy for ordinary, everyday Americans, not just prices, but the uncertainty that businesses have been dealing with, because it’s really difficult for businesses to know how to invest, to plan out their year, especially medium- and smaller- sized businesses. And so kind of taking away and removing that uncertainty in the economy would be, by the way, good for Americans, not just probably good for the White House. At the same time, we’ll see what the Supreme Court says as well. And there’s also constitutional issues at stake. But this is a sign that the president knows that he's got to get affordability under control."
