Congressman Mast on Dems Keeping the Gov’t Closed: It’s Not Just Obstruction, ‘They’re Hoping for Destruction of the Gov’t’

‘We can be pretty precise on what the roadblock will look like’

EXCERPT:

MAST: “I think we can be pretty precise on what the roadblock will look like. There's 260 Democrats between the House and the Senate, eight of them in the Senate voted to advance funding the government. I would be surprised if, in the end, we have a total of 15 Democrats between the House and the Senate that actually voted to fund the government. I think there's probably, you know, closer to the number of 250 that, in total, vote against funding the government, vote to not pay air traffic controllers, not pay the military, not do SNAP, not pay out other things. I think that's probably the number that we end up close to. So it's not just obstruction. They're still hoping for destruction of the government.”
