MELBER: “The president talks openly and repeatedly about staying in power past ‘28 or why dictators, he says, bring benefits. Take a look.”

Trump: “They say, ‘We don’t need them. Freedom! Freedom! He’s a dictator. He’s a dictator.’ A lot of people are saying, ‘Maybe we like a dictator.’ (...) So the line is that I’m a dictator, but I stop crime. So a lot of people say, ‘You know, if that’s the case, I’d rather have a dictator.’”

MELBER: “Do you take it seriously? How would you fight that? Would you oppose any effort by him to try to get on, say, your state’s ballot again for an illegal third term?”
