Aaron Blake on Former DoJ Officials Being Subpoenaed: They Can ‘Push Back,’ but Will They Go That Far

‘We learn that even Republicans are on board with these subpoenas’

EXCERPT:

BLAKE: “I think what we've seen throughout this process is that the Trump administration seems to be taking steps that are geared towards, you know, minor concessions, trying to make the story go away. And there's just no signs that this is going away. I think today is a case in point for that. I think arguably, the last few days have been the quietest that we've seen on the Epstein front, at least after we heard about this prison transfer until today. And now we learn that even Republicans are on board with these subpoenas. They're going to press this issue over the course of months. I think it's a really interesting question now, what the Justice Department does? Because, as we're talking about here, they can push back on these subpoenas.”
