John Bolton: Declaring a Ceasefire Right After the Strikes on Iran Was a ‘Mistake’

‘I think the attacks caused significant damage’

EXCERPT:

BOLTON: “The enriched uranium may be deeply buried, but if you can't breathe down there, if you can't get access to it, it doesn't do anybody much good. This is a question of resolve and persistence. And I think that it will have impacts if we continue to surveil what the Iranians are up to and take action. Declaring a ceasefire, as we did immediately after the U.S. attacks, I think was a mistake. And I think that we will not see the ceasefire last long if Iran does from what we can appear to know already to try and rebuild the program.”
