BAKER: "Yeah, absolutely. There are a lot of things in there to quarrel with. If you don’t want this bill, not only the tax cuts, not only the shifting of, of, of money in effect from the wealthiest to the poorest, but, you know, a variety of other provisions that are complicated and that are unpopular, you know, slicing Medicaid or changing the eligibility for Medicaid so that it takes millions off the roll will affect a lot of red state districts as well as blue state districts. And that’s something of concern to a number of vulnerable Republicans going into next year’s midterm election. That’s why they’re putting together that $25 billion rural health care hospital program that I mentioned. But whether that’s enough to make the bill, you know, palatable to those Republicans that’s still up there."
