CNN’s Clarissa Ward: Ceasefire Is ‘Holding’ After Trump’s ‘Choice Words’ for Israel and Iran
‘It got off to a very wobbly start’
EXCERPT:
WARD: "It's holding. It’s holding. It got off to a very wobbly start. There was some back-and-forth, then we heard President Trump had some choice words for both parties but particulate for the Israelis. And since then, it has been quiet. And it’s remarkable to see how quickly life goes back to normal. Israel announcing that it's opening schools, it's opening airports, workplaces, the beach was humming. I saw boats for the first time. The Iranians also out on the streets, going to rallies. There was some kind of classical music concert. So, yeah, very quickly, people getting back to their lives."
