Evelyn Farkas: Over Time Netanyahu Will Lose Support on Iran War Like it Has with Gaza

FARKAS: “But we have two — two conflicting objectives that have been put out there publicly. And frankly, that’s been the same thing when you look at Israel. And I worry, because Israel also has this ongoing war in Gaza — of course, we know Iran started all of this, let’s not forget that, but the war in Gaza is going on and on again with competing objectives, which appear to essentially ensure that Benjamin Netanyahu can continue war against Iran, against Hamas in Gaza, and now it appears, of course, against the Iranian homeland. So the worry I have is that the objective is not clearly defined, rather, and the way to get to the objective has also not been laid out. And so while, of course, the Israeli people are under fire, they’re going to exhibit more support for what Netanyahu is doing. I predict that that will change over time and he will lose support, just as he has with regard to the war in Gaza."
