Sen. Johnson Urges Trump to Take Charge as ‘The Peacemaker’ Between Iran and Israel: ‘He Is a Peacemaker Not a Warmaker’

‘In his heart he does not like war’

EXCERPT:

R. JOHNSON: “There’s a reason — there’s a reason I would never want to be president of the United States. I really wouldn’t want to make those calls. I’ll trust President Trump to do it. I know in his heart he doesn’t like war, he wants peace. You know, classic examples, when Iran in his first administration downed a drone and everybody’s beating the drums of war, we got to retaliate. Trump finally asked — asked the question, OK, how many Iranians are going to die in this retaliation? You know, first of all, how expensive would that missile, you know, or that drone, couple of million bucks, how many people are going to lose their lives? Couple hundred. That’s not worth it. Called off the attack. He is — he is a peacemaker. He’s not a warmaker. But he also is going to make sure that America stays safe. And Iran with the nuclear capability, America is far less safe.”
