Georgia Rep. Kasey Carpenter: Immigrants Have Not Taken American Jobs

‘We all supported electing Donald Trump with the idea that he was going to get rid of all the criminals’

EXCERPT:

CARPENTER: “The reality is there's industries, construction, manufacturing, hospitality industries that require these immigrants. They are not taking American jobs. They're doing jobs a lot of times that Americans don't want to do. And so, you know, we all supported electing Donald Trump with the idea that he was going to get rid of all the criminals. And unfortunately, these good people are getting caught up in the -- in the wash, if you will. And I think if we don't make -- we don't make a turn on this issue, we're going to be in problem not only in elections, but just moving forward as a country.”
