Speaker Johnson on Budget Negotiations: ‘We’re Almost There’

JOHNSON: "We have multiple caucuses and multiple subgroups that make requests and suggestions as we work towards a manager’s amendment, a cleanup amendment that will go through rules. And so, none of that has been ultimately and finally decided because, as everyone knows around here, we've got to build consensus around all those ideas. So, I’ve seen lots of conjecture out there, but I wouldn’t put much stock in that. (...) We’re almost there and I’m very optimistic we will find the right equilibrium point to get this bill delivered. It's gonna be a big thing for everybody."
