Mass Gov. Healey: ‘China Is on Our Campuses Recruiting Our Scientists’ Because of Trump Funding Freezes

HEALEY: “Donald Trump is making us less competitive, because right now, Kate, I'll tell you what's happening on our campuses. China is on our campuses recruiting our scientists, recruiting the postdocs, recruiting all the folks who are in labs and running clinical trials right now and saying, 'Come to China. We'll give you a lab. We'll give you 90 staff people. We'll -- we'll fund you if the American government won't.' That makes America less safe, less competitive, and it also has tremendous ripple effects for our economy.”
