Holtz-Eakin on Tariffs: ‘We’re Risking Losing the National Security Alliances’

‘Having good alliances and keeping those trade flows alive when things are tough is part of national security’

EXCERPT:

HOLTZ-EAKIN: “I’ll just point out that, you know, the president has levied tariffs on steel, aluminum autos, and is, you know, intending to do it on pharmaceuticals and chips and lumber and copper, all in the interest of national security. Going alone is not national security. Having good alliances and keeping those trade flows alive when things are tough is part of national security, and that’s what we’re risking right now.”
