Hugh Hewitt: I Like the China Policy, I’ve Been a Hawk on Them for a Long Time
‘They need our consumers, they need our markets’
EXCERPT:
HEWITT: “I like the China policy, Bret. I have been a hawk on China for a long time, as have Senator Cotton, when he was in Congress, Representative Gallagher. The hard reset is what we needed. Donald Trump has brought it about. Karoline Leavitt noted from the podium today. They need our consumers, they need our markets. We’re a $29 trillion economy. They’re a $19 trillion economy and they cheat. They cheat all the time. Ever since they joined the WTO. So, a hard reset and, if necessary, a hard decoupling, is in the best national security interest of the United States. I’m happy to see it.”
