Brit Hume: No Doubt Trump Feels U.S. Support for Ukraine Has Been a Gift from This Country to That Country That Needs To Be Repaid
EXCERPT:
HUME: “You know, Bret, I think this boils down to a difference of viewpoint about which country is the one that’s given the gifts here. I don’t think there’s any doubt that President Trump feels that U.S. support for Zelenskyy and for Ukraine and this war has been a gift from this country to that country that needs to be repaid. That’s what the minerals deal in part was all about. From Zelenskyy’s side, he feels, I believe, that after all, Vladimir Putin is not just his enemy, he’s the enemy of the West and of the United States. And when you think about the damage that this war, courtesy of the Ukrainian forces, have inflicted on Russia and what it’s cost them in lives and in treasure and so on, that he’s done something that’s valuable to the West to have that, to have Putin weakened and his country impoverished to some extent by the cost of this war. That’s a favor to the West and that the West should be thanking him.”
