Before Profiting off the Conspiracy to Hide Biden’s Decline, Jake Tapper Was Helping Run It [Supercut]

Jake Tapper has a new book out, Original Sin, in which he claims the Biden White House duped the media into believing the president was mentally fit. The kicker? We didn’t need a tell-all to know that — we had Tapper’s own broadcasts.

In this flashback supercut, we revisit the moments when Tapper wasn’t just being tricked — he was actively helping run the con.

Time after time, as concerns about Biden’s mental acuity surfaced, Tapper rushed in to dismiss, deflect, and discredit. When The Wall Street Journal reported on Biden’s mental decline, Tapper waved it away as partisan spin, noting (helpfully) that Rupert Murdoch owns the paper. When Lara Trump dared point out Biden’s obvious struggles, Tapper clutched his pearls and accused her of hurting the feelings of children with stutters.

He wasn’t skeptical of the White House’s spin. He was the spin.

Tapper assured his viewers that Biden was “mentally sharp,” and that any concern must be about his physical stamina — as though losing your train of thought mid-sentence or forgetting names is just a cardio issue. Even when he admitted Biden’s memory “doesn’t seem great,” he quickly added that he didn’t “understand the outrage.”

But apparently, he understands it now — or at least understands that outrage sells.

With “Original Sin,” Tapper attempts to rewrite his role in the story. The man who once lectured critics and parroted White House talking points now positions himself as a truth-teller — bravely exposing a deception he himself helped uphold.

It’s the kind of pivot only Washington can admire: Spend three years defending the narrative, then collect a book advance for pretending you were fooled by it all along.

This supercut isn’t just a reminder of Tapper’s past takes — it’s a case study in Beltway hypocrisy. He wasn’t “tricked.” He was complicit.

Watch it — and remember: When the story falls apart, there’s always a book deal waiting.
