CNN: 27 Year Old U.S. Marine Killed in ISIS Attack in Iraq on Saturday

KARADSHEH: "Well, Miguel, on Saturday two rockets fired by ISIS targeted this base near the town of Makhmur in northern Iraq. That's south of the city of Mosul, as you mentioned, killing one Marine and wounding several others. Now, the U.S. hadn't made any official announcements about the existence of this so-called firebase. These are bases that are usually set up in remote locations providing artillery cover and support for infantry troops. But, U.S. defense officials are telling CNN now that in the past couple of weeks about 200 Marines set up this firebase in Northern Iraq with two main missions."
