Ed Markey on TikTok Ban: ‘It Would Just Be Absolutely Irresponsible To Have It Go Dark’

MARKEY: “There are a number of different ways in which this issue can be resolved. It keeps TikTok alive for those communities that are out there that need it, but it would just be absolutely irresponsible to have it go dark. And so to the extent to which we can create more time, there's actually room in the statute interpreted very liberally that could give 90 more days for President Trump to be able to negotiate a resolution of this issue. But under no circumstances should this be allowed to result in TikTok going dark on Sunday or Monday.”
