Their courage helped safeguard American democracy after Trump's lies about the 2020 election incited a violent insurrection. Officers like Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, Harry Dunn, and Michael Fanone, who have all been on this program, they deserve all of our gratitude, as do the many, many other officers who were at the Capitol that day."
