WEDEMAN: "Well, people inside the country, the people here in Lebanon, Fredricka, who do not have foreign passports, are really just going on with their daily lives as best they can. We drove around Beirut today to see if there was any sort of run on the supermarkets, for instance, to stock up on supplies. Nope. Life seemed fairly normal. We went to what‘s called the Corniche, the seafront in west Beirut. What we saw were people out enjoying the sun, drinking beer, listening to music, smoking water pipes, swimming and diving into the water, families were there having picnics.”
