Alex Karp to CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin: ‘We Have To Scare the Living Sh*t Out of Our Adversaries’

‘There is a large disfunction in our system’

EXCERPT:

KARP: “... for us as -- as Americans, is that we often underestimate that we're the best at something when we're the best. Tech scene in America is a little bit like the jazz scene in the '50s. There's America, and there's like one or two people in Japan or Germany or somewhere. And so we have to figure out as a country how are we going to embrace the technology we already have inside systems that do really important things that have -- that have systems that are legacy that need to remain and systems that are legacy that need to be flushed down the toilet? And how do we have a discussion around that? How do we align our politics of our country, which has many, many interests, including, you know, whose company is in what district with the needs of our country, which are we have to scare [the ling sh*it] out of our adversaries.”
