Fmr. NATO Secretary General: ‘You Cannot Avoid the Inevitable, Ukraine Will Join NATO’

RASMUSSEN: “I think we should tell Putin that not only will we continue our support for Ukraine, as long as it takes, but as much as it takes. So in addition to delivering all the weapons the Ukrainians need, we should invite Ukraine to start accession talks with NATO. We need Ukraine as a bulwark against an aggressive Russia. So I think at the NATO summit in July in Washington, D.C., we should extend an invitation to Ukraine to start accession talks. And by that we would also tell Putin better come to your senses, better stop the war. You cannot avoid the inevitable, Ukraine will join NATO.”
