In March 2020, Donald Trump tweeted the racist phrase, quote, 'China virus, end quote, in reference to Covid-19. In the week that followed, there was a significant increase in anti-Asian content on Twitter, as well as an increase in hate crimes against Asian Americans, according to a 2021 study.”
