Texas DPS Spokesperson on Biden’s Border Chief Warning: It’s Little Too Late Now
EXCERPT:
OLIVAREZ: “We’ve been addressing this issue for the last three years. We talked about how border security is national security. We talked about threats to public safety, national security, not just foreign criminal gangs that are making their way into United States, but also suspected terrorists have been apprehended. And when you hear it from the Border Patrol chief himself, talking about the national security threats, you know, really shows I think it’s really evident that the federal government continues to — to ignore the situation on the border, ignore the safety and security of our country and the American people when they have the authority right now to take executive action to stop the flow of illegal crossings at the border, to control it to do proper vetting, to give Border Patrol all the resources they need to do this proper checks on these individuals that are coming across so we don’t continue seeing tragedies that we’re seeing throughout the country, like in Riley, other crimes that have been perpetrated by illegal immigrants that have made it to the country. So these are real life threats that we’ve been facing for the last three years and the fact that now they’re trying to get to the root causes, really is just — just — just — right now I think it’s a little too late. Three years into the situation, this should have been done from day one.”
