‘I Don’t Think You Can Completely Deter Groups Like the Houthis’: Rhodes on U.S. Strikes in Yemen
‘They have weathered years of war’
RUSH EXCERPT:
RHODES: "I don’t think you can completely deter groups like the Houthis that part of their ethos is that they are not deterred. We’ve been striking Houthis, they’ve continued these attacks, they have weathered years of war, I mean, keep in mind, it’s several years of — coalition, bombing, attacking Houthi targets, and they’ve been resilient through that. So, I think what the administration is trying to do, is at least try to push them back, degrade their capabilities, send a message that if you continue these types of attacks on U.S. forces, we’re going to attack you."
