Adam Schiff Gets Called Out During the Calif. Senate Debate by Republican Steve Garvey for Lying About Russian Collusion

‘Sir, you lied to 300 million people and you can’t take that back’

EXCERPT:

MODERATOR 2: "Mr. Garvey, your rebuttal."
GARVEY: "Yes. I think you’ve been censured for lying. This is exactly what I'm talking about."
SCHIFF: "I was censured for standing up to a corrupt president. The same corrupt president — "
GARVEY: "Career politicians — "
MODERATOR 2: "It's Mr. Garvey's turn. Let him go."
GARVEY: "Career politicians who are trying to determine who we are by race, or by color, or by gender. They never listen. They have prearranged words to say. And by the way, I would not vote for a federal ban on abortion. Let's make that clear right now."
MODERATOR 1: "Thank you, Mr. Garvey."
GARVEY: "I'm going to insist on answering. I just got called a liar by Mr. Garvey."
MODERATOR: "Okay, 30 seconds."
SCHIFF: "Mr. Garvey, I was censured for standing up to a corrupt president. And you know something? I would do it all over again.
Because that corrupt president, that president who’s been indicted with 94 felony — 91 felony counts, that president that you won’t refuse to support, yeah, he’s a danger. And I will stand up to him and Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan and any of those MAGA enablers of his in the Congress. The reason why our democracy is in trouble is because folks don’t have the courage to stand up when they need to."
