UPTON: "And the Freedom Caucus on the right as well, because they -- they really don't want to see any aid, particularly to Ukraine, they made that pretty clear. But what I can't believe is that the president asked for this back in October. It's in essence, now, January, when Congress comes back fully, the House is not coming back to after the first of the year, they're going to have so few days to get things done. Remember, we've got the continuing resolution, the CR, that expired so we don't even know what those numbers are going to be in terms of spending, let alone no deal here, seems like there was a pretty big sweet spot that they could operate with not only immigration reform and fix the asylum thing.”
