RAIMONDO: “As you say, we are in turmoil all around the world. And I will tell you, at least once a week, when I’m, you know, with the president, and watching him with world leaders, I feel so grateful that he is the man in charge of our country right now. He has the right temperament and experience. I was in China recently. I think they have a desire and we have a desire to stabilize the relationship. In my case when I met with my counterparts, we talked about using the economic relationship as a ballast for the rest of the relationship. You know, we have to protect what we must but trade where we can. And I think that’s really, that’s the direction from President Biden, as it relates to China. And I think that is where China is. You know, it’s time to ratchet down the temperature, and look to, I think the world, truthfully Christiane, is looking to the U.S. and China to be responsible in managing this relationship.”
