NBC’s O’Donnell: Biden Has Been ‘Critical in a Friendly Way’ Towards Israeli Government
RUSH EXCERPT:
O'DONNELL: "Critical in a friendly way, meaning wanting to maintain the strength of the relationship, but certainly pointed in his concerns about checks and balances in the Israeli government and concerns about reforms that certainly the u s would like to see in the judicial system. I think in this moment, what we will see is a transition from openly making those criticisms to putting those on the side not diminishing them, but dealing with the more urgent matter of the exit existential threat to Israel from this kind of attack, especially with Israeli citizens, not combatants, members of the military being held being harmed and so forth. So the relationship has been stressed. It is been at a point where the? U s would like some concessions from Israel when it comes to trying to have normalization with other partners in that part of the world, namely Saudi Arabia. We saw with the Abraham Accords from the previous administration partnerships and acknowledgment recognition of Israel.”
