GRANT: "I think they are trying to hold in the east and make a breakthrough down to that southern coast towards the Black Sea to cut off the army and push the Russian high command which has a lot of problems recently and see if that can break and crumble. The progress is about a kilometer a day in some places, a very hard-fought. I think we still need to give them a chance to see if this will play out and let them take more of their territory, get to a position where they can at least negotiate a more durable peace, we will see."
