Trudeau Announces ‘Expert’ To Oversee ‘Civil Society Organizations’ To ‘Combat Disinformation’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced this week he is establishing an "independent special rapporteur" with a "wide mandate" and "civil society organizations" to combat misinformation.

"Today I am announcing that I will be appointing an independent special repertoire who will have a wide mandate and make expert recommendations on combatting interference and strengthening our democracy," Trudeau said.
