Of course, there is a risk to this meeting of elevating Putin on a national stage by giving him such a high-profile meeting like this summit in Switzerland. When you think about it, just a month ago we were talking about whether Russia was going to invade Ukraine. So that is the Balance the White House has been trying to walk, clearly though deciding that the best course of action is to go forward with this summit in Geneva just a few weeks from now."
