GARDINER: "Yeah, very strong words directed at President Erdogan and the Turkish regime. And I think this is the right message to be sending to Turkey, that their actions in Syria have been unacceptable, hugely unhelpful for the United States, and I think that the Turkey will be held to account. If Turkey violates the ceasefire that is in place, that United States has worked hard to put in place, then Turkey will be fully held to account by the United States and I think Turkey's being placed to notice. Even though Turkey is important U.S. ally and important NATO partner, it cannot simply get away with whatever it wants to do in Syria."
