CNN: Iran State TV Says Netanyahu Speech ‘Iranophobia,’ ‘Complete Humiliation for Obama’ (RealClearPolitics)

WOLF BLITZER: CNN is the only U.S. television network with a correspondent in Tehran right now... I assume they aren't playing [Benjamin Netanyahu's] speech live on Iranian state TV, but they must have heard about it?

CNN TEHRAN CORRESPONDENT FREDERIK PLEITGEN: They certainly have heard about it, Wolf, there has been a pretty vicious reaction so far on the Iranian TV but also from Iranians we've actually been speaking to as well. It was interesting, you were right, they didn't have the speech live as Netanyahu was giving it, but there is a video of the speech running with a headline on Iranian TV which called it a speech of Iran-ophobia. Now, in some commentary after the speech on Iranian TV they were saying the speech was a humiliation for Barack Obama and also kept making the point that this would drive a wedge between the U.S., Israel, and also alienate the other Western Allies...

One of the main points that was taken up here was the points that the prime minister made where he said he believed that Iran needed a deal more than the West does and more than the U.S. does. The Iranian leadership has tried to dispel that notion on various occasions. One of the thing that the Supreme Leader has said that he also believes a bad deal for Iran is worse than no deal. And Iran would carry on, muddle through, if the sanctions remain in place.
