Outgoing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel wants to close the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, but he admits it "is going to be difficult."

"This isn't a simple, easy matter of let's just move 122 detainees," Hagel told National Public Radio's "Morning Edition" on Monday. "These people are there for a reason. And as you draw down into the last numbers there, these are the most difficult cases."
