John Layfield: Trump’s China Tariffs Hurt Us More than It Does Them

‘China can put tariffs on us directly’

RUSH EXCERPT:
CAVUTO: "And trade tariffs, the president might be right to be chagrinned about this. He doesn’t like the way that countries play ball. But a trade war could wipe out the benefits of the tax cuts. Is that among some of the factors hitting stocks?"
LAYFIELD: "I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. Hard to put tariffs on China. We learned that with president Obama. We put the tire tariffs on it. We didn’t have more production in the United States coming from that. But however, China can put tariffs on us directly. They can put it on our farm products, technology. It’s easier to do. It hurts us more than them."
