HIMES: "Well, remember, Joe, the point of the Nunes memo was -- you know, it was never going to prove anything. The point is to create uncertainty, like 'Gosh, it’s a complicated and technical issue. I don’t really get it.' And therefore, you know, this is the ultimate objective, when Bob Mueller comes out with a statement, or fact, or allegations people are going to say 'Gosh, this is so complicated, I just don’t know what the truth is.' So in as much as the Democratic memo — and it will — in as much as it provides additional context and details which shows the Nunes allegations to be simply flat out wrong, I do think that’s important for the American people to see."
