CNN: Otto Warmbier, American Student Detained in North Korea, Dies

TAPPER: “We have some breaking news just in to CNN. The family of Otto Warmbier, the 22-year-old who had been held in North Korea, tells us that he has died. He returned from North Korea last week mysteriously in a coma after a year and a half in prison in North Korea. CNN’s Miguel Marquez joins us now with more. Miguel?”
MARQUEZ: “Yeah, the family announcing that he has passed on at 2:20 this afternoon. They said that Otto Warmbier had died. They don’t go into details about how this happened. Obviously he had been, according to the North Koreans, in a coma or some sort of comatose state for the last year and a half."
