Earnest: ‘Everybody’s Patience with Russia Has Run Out’

‘They have not made much progress against ISIL’

EARNEST: "I think everybody's patience with Russia has run out. They've also spent a great deal of credibility in making a series of commitments without any clear indication that they were committed to following them. So what we have seen from the Russians in the year or so since their military intervention in Syria is that they have not made much progress against ISIL. They claim that the reason they're in Syria is to fight extremists, but they haven't made a significant -- they haven't achieved a significant counter-ISIL objective in more than seven months and have been reduced to trying to claim credit for successful U.S. operations."
