Dem Rep. Khanna on $1 Billion Arms Transfer to Israel: Biden Is Sending a ‘Mixed Message’

‘It needs to be more clear’

EXCERPT:

KHANNA: "I think the president was strong when he said, we're not going to have offensive weapons to Netanyahu while Netanyahu keeps the invasion of Rafah on the table. Then just two days ago, we hear that they're taking a billion dollars of transference of tanks and munitions. Now, they're not the 2,000 pound -- pound bombs and maybe they're not the worst kind of offensive weapons into Rafah, but that sends a mixed message to a lot of people who were encouraged that the president was holding Netanyahu accountable. And so I think the president has to be clear, which is no offensive weapons to Netanyahu if he defies the United States and goes in and launches a ground invasion into Rafah, and until he commits to not doing that we shouldn't be giving him more offensive weapons."
