GARDINER: “And, of course, very sad news from London. The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is hugely popular, of course, with the British people, she is greatly loved. And so, this is immensely sad news, but also at the same time I think, as Martha MacCallum mentioned earlier, the British people will be rallying around the Princess of Wales at this time, supporting her, praying for her and hoping that she has a swift and full recovery. But certainly, of course, this is very, very sad news. And it’s very unfortunate as well, I think, in the background there has been a real campaign of disinformation coming from critics of the monarchy. There have been a lot of horrible rumors out there coming from those who really wish the royal family harm. And I think it’s absolutely appalling and disgraceful that we’ve seen this, this campaign of hate against the Princess of Wales recently.”
