JACOBSON: “U.S. Treasury secretary Janet Yellen is in Beijing right now, where just hours ago she urged China to cooperate more with the U.S. on climate financing. It’s part of Yellen’s four-day visit to Beijing to ease tensions between the two largest economies in the world. During a meeting with China’s second most powerful man, Premier Li Qiang, Yellen appealed to China not to allow disagreements to lead to misunderstandings, which can worsen the economic and financial relationship. Qiang also expressed hopes for improved communication between the two nations.”
