Alberto Gonzales: ‘I’m Disappointed’ with the Public Reaction on Russian Indictments from the W.H.

‘If the president is not willing to confront Putin and, you know — I just — I would worry about this meeting’

RUSH EXCERPT:

GOZNALES: "It would certainly change it for me, quite honestly. This is very serious. We have a situation where Bob Mueller and his team believe they have credible evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that they can introduce in court and be successful to the prosecution. Yeah, this is very serious. I would worry about the. Not seriously confronting the president of Russia about these indictments. This is extremely serious. Even more frightening, the short knowledge that this will continue and occur during the mid-terms and beyond. So I think I’m disappointed about the reaction from the — the public reaction from the White House. I understand they’re happy there’s no ties to American or to the Trump campaign. But to not say anything and to not indict the Russian government for this indictment to me is baffling and disappointing. Because this is extremely serious and that it affects the democracy that we are and we need to hold Russia accountable. If the president is not willing to confront Putin and, you know — I just — I would worry about this meeting."
