Kurtz: ‘Predominant Tone’ from the Media Has Been Trump’s ‘in Over His Head’ on North Korea

‘He doesn’t understand the complexities involved’

EXCERPT:

NEVILLE: "So in terms of tone and facts, who got it right and who missed the mark?"
KURTZ: "There has been some straight forward reporting from the White House about how U.S. officials were increasingly frustrated this week that North Korean officials weren’t even answering their phones. But the predominant tone I think of the analysis and the commentary has been, well, Donald Trump is in over his head. He doesn’t understand the complexities involved. He's making it all about himself. And I think that’s unfair. Because the bellicosity and the intransigence coming from Pyongyang basically forced the president or left him very little choice about making this move."
