Hogan Gidley on DACA Ruling: ‘These Judges Clearly Are Trying to Legislate from the Bench’
‘We are a nation of laws’
EXCERPT:
FAULKNER: "The President calling it a broken and unfair system, pointing to activist judges. Why does he put it that way?"
GIDLEY: "Because these judges clearly are trying to legislate from the bench. We are a nation of laws. We believe that this judge has acted unconstitutionally. We also believe that President Barack Obama completely ignored the law, ignored the Constitution when he tried to protect DACA recipients. The President has urged Congress to take care of this. This is where it should be handled. It should be codified into law. The President will work with Congress to make sure something is done that is constitutional, but also puts the interest of the American people first. That’s what this president is all about."
