HIMES: "I don't want to answer that with respect to any individual, but I will tell you that the overall pattern in this investigation is first blanket denial, from the President, from former national security adviser Flynn, no contact and nothing happened, and then it turns out lots happened. And we find this out over time, often because something comes up in the investigation. George Papadopoulos, right, 'We had no contact.' Well, George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying about that contact. So we know that there’s a consistent pattern of dissembling and lying and forgetting. That makes these investigations very, very hard."
