CROWLEY: “I think he probably gave Vladimir Putin some fresh material, you know, to work with. I mean, you have the two Trumps. You have Trump who did say today that, you know, Russia is on the line, influence in the region, and you have Trump saying that we don’t know, you know, if Russia, among other countries, interfered in the 2000 campaign. As Richard suggested, you know, Vladimir Putin as a master tactician, you know, will try to exploit that in the meeting tomorrow. I think, you know, what Trump has to try to do is focus on the strategic level and not get drawn into the tactical level. He needs to have a strong message for, you know, Vladimir Putin. 'We know what you did, knock it off.' You know, whether he could rise to that occasion or not, we’ll find out.”
