CNN: U.S. Investigators Suspect Russian Hackers Planted False News Report that Helped Spark Qatar Crisis

PEREZ: "Russian hackers were behind a cyber breach between Qatar's state news agency. Hackers placed a fake news report that is now used by Saudi Arabia and other U.S. Allies as a reason to carry out an economic and political blockade of Qatar. U.S. and Qatar officials tell us that FBI sent a team of investigators to Doha to investigate the alleged hacking incident reported in late may. Intelligence gathered by U.S. Security agencies indicate that Russian hackers were behind the intrusion.
