SMITH: "Sir Roger Moore, the actor who played the British super spy James Bond has died. Moore took over from Sean Connery in the 70s and appeared in seven of the films including 'Moonraker' and 'The Man with the Golden Gun'. He once said, he wanted to bring some humor to the 007 role, asking what kind of serious spy's recognized everywhere he goes. Moore became a humanitarian later in life helping children as an ambassador for UNICEF. Moore’s family said he died in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. Sir Roger Moore was 89.”
